"I was honored when the Reverend Hal Marchman and Dr. Ernest Cantley approached me to help them organize the Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation. I called on community leaders to join me on the Board of Directors and we set a goal to raise $1,000,000 in 1997. We have long since achieved that goal, and our ongoing challenge is to continue to build a stronger "foundation for the Foundation". I pledge to continue to promote people helping people."
